Veteran Volunteer of the Year for 2016 Awarded to Hillary Doriguzzi

Virginia Beach, VA- Hillary Doriguzzi has been awarded NowHiringVeterans.com “Veteran Volunteer of the Year” for 2016.  NowHiringVeterans.com program is sponsored by IntellecTechs, Inc. (pronounced In-te-LEC-Teks), to support Veterans who are transitioning out of the military.  Ms. Doriguzzi has provided over 10 workshops with a variety of topics ranging from Resume 101 to LinkedIn training with the intent of employing Veterans with local Hampton Roads businesses.

The Now Hiring Veterans trainings occur on the second Wednesday of the month from 5PM-6PM.  The training classes are taught by Certified Trainers and typically take place at IntellecTechs offices located at 195 S. Rosemont Rd., Suite #103, Virginia Beach, VA.  There is NO COST for the training classes.

2017 State of Information Technology in Hampton Roads IntellecTechs CEO Jeri Prophet Panelist

(pronounced In-te-LEC-Teks) announced that Founder and CEO, Jeri Prophet, served as a panelist on the 2017 State of Information Technology in Hampton Roads held at the Hilton Norfolk’s The Main in Norfolk, VA on August 22, 2017. Conference presentations and discussions included Homeland Security, A Look into Hybrid IT, Cybersecurity and Protecting Data.

Panelists at the 2017 State of Information Technology in Hampton Roads included: Peter Wallace, CIO, Virginia Beach; Dale Smith, Director of Technical Services, Sentara; Rusty Waterfield, CIO ODU; Moderator Deb Cassidy, CIO PRA, Visiting Professor, Department of Computer Science, Norfolk State University; Ryan Cochran, Chief Information Security Officer, Towne Bank; Steven H. DeBerry, CIO City of Norfolk; Andy Kowalski, CISO, head of Cyber Security for Jefferson Labs; Darek Dabbs, CTO Sera-Brynn; and Moderator Mary Ann (Malloy) Hoppa, PhD.

Prophet shared her experiences in the Information Technology field, and some of the challenges that a small business owner faces every day.

The 2017 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2013 to 2016. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2013. Local CEO Encourages Young Girls To Seek Entrepreneurship

Virginia Beach, VA-  IntellecTechs, Inc. (pronounced In-te-LEC-Teks), Founder and CEO Jeri Prophet, spoke and inspired a group of young girls at an Envision Lead Grow event held at Old Dominion University’s Strome Entrepreneurial Center in Norfolk on August 3, 2017. Ms. Prophet emphasized to the attendees the importance of following their dreams and entrepreneurship.

Envision Lead Grow empowers young girls to chart their destiny and break the cycle of poverty for 1,000 middle school girls in underserved communities in the United States.  The seven-city bus tour ended in Norfolk, VA at the Old Dominion University’s Strome Entrepreneurial Center.

“It is always rewarding to be in front of a group of young women who are focused and already looking towards their future.  It warms my heart to be able to share my story and inspire our youth, knowing I could be standing in front of tomorrows’ leaders,” said Jeri Prophet, Founder and CEO of IntellecTechs.
